<description>The SB-1000's are awesome subs, but not in every situation. Outdoors, or in a large room, when you have at least 4 per side they're great. Inside a small room (the size of a school gym) with only one per side there are a bunch of subs I'd rather have, starting with the SB-850. The shop I work at has around 100 of the SB-1000's so they tend to end up on a bunch of gigs when the 850's or other suitable subs are gone.

Geri, the last Russian gig blog I read had our hero, Dave, flying home. Unless he was followed by the cover band and cornered in an alley I would imagine the story is over ... for now :-)

<description>Glad to hear your opinion of the SB-1000s at a time when I'm fending off bullshit from too close to home about KF-900s, BH-760s, some other trick offerings that seem to be about more black magic and even "you should build a bunch of LAB subs". Yeah, like anyone around here has time to become cabinet makers. I love the SBs, we have 8, we're renting 8 more for next weekend, and I hope to fend off this horsehit from outside sources and get 12 more.

Did I miss something or did we get the "rest of the story" about the big Russian gig? Apparently, no one died, right?
